2021 GMC Sierra with engine and transmission defects
Case No. 22-002029-CZ - Wayne County Circuit Court
My Client v. General Motors, LLC and McDonald GMC-Cadillac
Client purchased a new GMC Sierra in October of 2021. In July of 2022 the transmission began to jerk and shift, coinciding with swings of the speedometer intermittently in excess of 30 MPH. Client reported dangerous driving conditions as the jerking caused the vehicle to jerk/surge on the road, particularly when towing a trailer. On several occasions the check engine light came on and the vehicle went into reduced engine power mode. Mr. Alexander was hired in November of 2021, and when initial negotiations failed, a lawsuit was filed in February of 2022. After 11 months of litigation the case was resolved with a confidential cash payment to Client.
