My Client v. General Motors, LLC, and Ed Rinke Chevrolet Buick GMC
Client was told there was grease and oil on the spark plugs. The vehicle was returned to Client and within a few days the same issues began again. The vehicle was taken in for service a second time on January 11, 2022. Client was told they ran diagnostics and found fuel in the vent canister. The vent canister was replaced and the car was returned - only to have the same issues begin again, along with a strong smell of gasoline when the car was parked in the garage. Client was constantly afraid when driving the vehicle, not knowing if it would stall out and not being able to accelerate properly when in traffic - causing a dangerous driving situation.
The vehicle was taken in for service a third time on February 1, 2022 and stayed there until mid-April, 2022. Client was advised they replaced the vent canister, vent valve and installed a new gas tank but the problems still persisted. Service department could determine the cause of the problems sought assistance from GM Tech Support.
Client hired Mr. Alexander and a lawsuit was filed on March 18, 2022. The vehicle was finally repaired and the case was settled with a confidential cash payout to Client
